Easy Chocolate Crumb Pudding |

This is a unique recipe from a very old cookbook that belongs to my mother.I enjoy glancing through them.One and a while you find something totally unique you just have to share! This sounds very easy and yummy! I hope you agree! Ingredients:
1 unsweetened chocolate square |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup milk |
3/4 cup sugar |
4 beaten egg yolks |
2 cups soft breadcrumbs |
1 cup sliced almonds |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 egg whites |
Directions:
1. In the top of double boiler,melt the chocolate. 2. Add in the bread crumbs,almonds and salt. 3. Combine well. 4. Fold in the 4 stiffly beaten egg whites. 5. Cover,steam in double boiler for 25 minutes. 6. This can be served warm,or chilled,with whipped cream if desired. |
