These are my husband's favorite brownies. More cake-like than chewy and so good with a glass of milk. Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons water |
1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
3/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. In a medium saucepan, combine butter,sugar, and water. 3. Stir over medium heat and bring just to a boil. 4. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla. 5. Stir until blended and smooth. 6. Beat in eggs one at a time. 7. Ina medium bowl, mix dry ingredients together. 8. Stir dry mixture into chocolate mixture. 9. Add nuts. 10. Spread into a buttered 8 square pan. 11. Bake in 325 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. 12. Cool, cut into squares and enjoy. |
