Perfect for big groups on cold nights. I always add a little sugar to cut the acidity of the tomatoes, but you can omit if you want. Cooking time does not include simmering. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 large onion, diced fime |
3 celery ribs, diced fine |
3 banana peppers, diced fine |
3 tablespoons chili powder |
2 teaspoons cayenne |
1 (16 ounce) can chili beans |
28 ounces diced tomatoes |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup |
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt |
1 tablespoon sugar |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and drain. 2. Add celery, onions, peppers, chili powder, cayenne and salt. Cook until veggies are tender. 3. Add beans, tomatoes and soup. Heat through. 4. Add sugar. 5. Simmer until ready to serve. |
