This is a recipe my dd's brought home from school. I thought it sounded fairly simple so I had them make it for dinner. It was easy enough for them to prepare and was pretty good too. This is a basic chili recipe. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans kidney beans |
1 (20 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
6 tablespoons chili powder |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Saute together onion and ground beef. 2. Combine dry ingredients. 3. Add kidney beans and tomatoes to beef mixture. 4. Pour dry ingredients over all. 5. Mix thoroughly. 6. Simmer 1 hour or longer over medium heat. 7. Serve. |
