A great substitute for chili rellenos. Ingredients:
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, rinsed, drained cut in to strips |
6 ounces monterey jack cheese, shredded |
1 cup sour cream (low fat ok) |
3 eggs |
salt & pepper |
salsa |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease one 9 x 9 inch baking dish. 3. arrange chili strips in baking dish. 4. Sprinkle cheese over. Beat sour cream and eggs to blend in a small bowl. 5. Season with salt & pepper. 6. Pour over chilis & cheese. 7. Bake until custard is firm in center about 25 minutes. 8. Serve with salsa. |
