This Easy Cherry Cobbler is a simple solution for someone with a sweet tooth. Ingredients:
1 15-oz. can tart red cherries,undrained |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 1/4 cup sugar, divided |
1 cup milk |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
optional: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Bring cherries to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat; remove from heat. Mix flour, one cup sugar, milk, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Pour butter into 6 one-cup ramekins or into a 2-quart casserole dish or; pour flour mixture over butter. Add cherries; do not stir. Sprinkle remaining sugar over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired. |
