This is the cobbler Mom used to make when we were little. It's ready in no time, and tastes wonderful. Everyone loves it. Can use any fruit pie filling - apple, peach, etc - cherry is my favorite. This is SUPER easy! Read more ! The batter rises to the top, you don't have to do anything special. It will be right every time! Be sure to use a deep baking dish and self-rising flour. Ingredients:
1 stick butter or margarine |
3/4 c self-rising flour |
3/4 c. sugar |
3/4 c. milk |
1 can cherry pie filling (or 2 c. other fruit with juice, or other fruit pie filling) |
vanilla ice cream or cool whip is a great topper |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 2. Melt butter in large (deep) casserole dish 3. Mix together: flour, sugar and milk 4. Pour over melted butter 5. Spoon pie filling over top 6. Bake at 375 for 30 min |
