There are so many tuna spread recipes that I thought long and hard about posting this one. This is a very good spread to serve at a party with crisp crackers or as a dip for fresh veggies. It is also great as a sandwich filling. Ingredients:
1 cup fat-free ricotta cheese |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 tablespoons fat free sour cream |
1 (9 1/4 ounce) can white tuna in water, drained |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor. 2. Cover and blend until smooth. 3. Line a 2-cup metal bowl or mold with plastic wrap and place tuna mixture in bowl. 4. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. 5. Unmold onto serving plate, carefully removing plastic wrap. |
