Easy Cheesey Spaghetti Squares |

One of those super-easy and super-cheesey pasta casseroles! Sometimes I make the easy version, and sometimes I kick it up a few notches! Jarred sauce tends to work better than homemade because of the consistency. Read more . I use Classico, Mushroom and Ripe Olive. Ingredients:
8 ounces vermicelli |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1/2 cup milk |
1 (14-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce |
4 ounces sliced pepperoni |
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |

saute chopped onion, mushrooms and garlic in butter and olive oil, drain and stir into sauce, along with 2 t italian seasoning; and add sauce as below |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and place in a large mixing bowl. 2. In a small bowl, combine egg and milk. 3. Pour over pasta and mix well. 4. Coat a 9-by-13-inch pan with non-stick vegetable spray. 5. Pour pasta mixture into pan. 6. Cover pasta with spaghetti sauce. 7. Layer pepperoni over sauce and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. 8. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. 9. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for 10 minutes. 10. Cut into squares to serve. |
