Capsicum toast is one of my favorite snacks. Its simple, healthy, takes very little time and adds a different taste. This is perfect for short picnics or school tiffins as well. Ingredients:
2 slices of fresh bread |
1/2 capsicum, seeded |
1/2 medium size firm tomato |
1/2 medium size onion |
1 tablespoon plain yogurt |
2 teaspoons chopped green chilies |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon salt |
tomato ketchup (sauce) |
Directions:
1. Cut capsicum, tomato, onion into very small pieces. 2. Now mix well all the above ingredients in a bowl. Add yoghurt, chilli, salt, black pepper and mix again. Take a slice of bread and spread this mixture over it. 3. Take othe slice of bread and spread tomato ketchup over it and place this slice over the previou one from step 1. 4. Now spread some butter on the outer sides of both the breads. Plug in the sandwhich-maker and place this sandwhich in it untill the bread turns brown or becomes cripsy. . |
