Homemade biscuits for breakfast ,lunch ,or supper.Thats dinner if you didn't already know. Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour |
pinch soda and baking powder |
1/3 cup shortening ( lard ) |
3/4 cup buttermilk (+/-) |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like meal. Stir in milk. Mix well . Soft dough can be handled. Roll out dough on flour surface about 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 - 12 min.. Makes about 12 biscuits. |
