Easy to prepare. These melt in your mouth, and are truly wonderful. Ingredients:
butter horns |
12 ounces cottage cheese |
2 sticks unsalted butter |
2 cups flour |
dash salt |
glaze |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 tablespoons milk |
in bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, vanilla and milk |
ice the butter horns while they are warm |
Directions:
1. In large mixer bowl, with electric mixer combine cottage cheese, butter, flour, and salt until fairly smooth, not lumpy 2. Chill overnight in covered bowl 3. When ready to prepare, remove from refrigerator 4. Divide dough into thirds 5. Roll each portion out on floured board into a CIRCLE 6. Cut into pie shaped wedges 7. Roll each piece up beginning from the wide end of each wedge 8. Place on greased cookie sheet 9. Bake in a 350 degree oven, 30-40 minutes 10. Ice with butter cream glaze, while they are still warm |
