In Georgia, Brunswick Stew is a popular dish. Got this recipe from a friend, tried it and have been making it on a regular basis every since. My grandson likes Brunswick Stew, but says mine beats what you get in a restraurant, so it must be really really good for him to say that. Ingredients:
2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained |
2 cans tomatoes (blended) |
2 cans boned chicken (can use fresh chicken) |
2 sm. or 1 lg. can pork bbq (castleberry's) |
2 cans creamed corn |
1 tbsp. mustard |
1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce |
1 1/2 c. catsup |
1/4 c. brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in crock pot. Can be 2. cooked on low for hours. 3. I make mine on top of the stove and just simmer it for about 3-4 hours 4. Surprisingly good! |
