This recipe creates very juicy tender pork chops, and caramelized onions. I serve the onions over mashed potatoes. Ingredients:
4 pork chops, 3/4 to 1 inch thick |
2 teaspoons olive oil |
2 -3 onions, sliced into rings |
1 teaspoon chopped garlic |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. 2. Heat oil in medium hot skillet. 3. Brown chops for 2-3 minutes per side. 4. Remove chops from pan. 5. Sauté onions and garlic in pan 2 minutes, until soft. 6. Reduce heat to low, and return chops to pan. 7. Spread the onions over the chops, cover and braise for 45 minutes. |
