An easy, quick but good beefy skillet supper. Adapted from Country Woman. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package medium egg noodles |
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup water |
1 (11 ounce) can mexicorn, drained |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Cook noodles according to package directions. 2. Cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink and drain. 3. Add tomato sauce and water and bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 8 minutes. 5. Drain the noodles and add to beef mixture. 6. Mix in the corn, salt and pepper. 7. Sprinkle with cheese, cover and cook until heated through and cheese is melted. |
