Very simple and delicious stove top stroganoff type meal. The cream of mushroom soup can be replaced with condensed tomato soup for a nice twist. Ingredients:
6 cups wide egg noodles, uncooked |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 small onion, sliced |
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped |
1 (284 ml) can sliced mushrooms, undrained |
1 (284 ml) can cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 cup cream cheese |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook noodles as directed on package. 2. Brown meat in skillet over medium heat, drain fat. Add onions and peppers; cook and stir until tender, about 10 minutes. 3. Stir in mushrooms, soup, cream cheese spread, worcestershire sauce and pepper. Cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. 4. Drain noodles; place on serving platter. Top with meat sauce mixture. |
