This is a casserole that my Mom used to make for me and my brothers. Ingredients:
1 lb stew meat |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 large onion, diced |
1/2 lb mushroom |
1 can water chestnut (optional) |
3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Saute onion in butter. 2. Add stew meat and brown slightly. 3. Put in 9x13-inch baking dish and add soy sauce, mushrooms, chestnuts, and pepper. 4. Cover and bake at 300 for 1 1/2 hours. 5. Serve over rice. |
