I got this recipe from Favorite Brand Name Slow Cooker Recipes . The original recipe called for 4oz canned sliced mushrooms instead of fresh, so you could use those instead if you wish in this recipe. Serve over noodles, rice or mashed potatoes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs beef round steak, cut into 1-inch pieces (or use stew beef) |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1 cup red wine |
1 onion, chopped |
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (or 4oz canned) |
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix |
1 tablespoon garlic, minced |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 6-8 hours or until tender. |
