Great recipe for when you need bean soup NOW! Ingredients:
6 strips bacon, diced |
1 medium onion, diced |
2 stalks celery, diced |
3 cups great northern beans, canned |
3 cups chicken broth |
fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown the diced bacon in a heavy pot. 2. Add the onion and celery, cooking until just soft. 3. Add the beans and chicken broth. 4. Simmer for 20 minutes. 5. Add pepper to taste. 6. Serve warm. |
