I can usually make this with ingredients I have on hand. If my bananas are getting too ripe, I just pop them in the freezer until I want some of this bread. They need to thaw completely, though, before starting the bread. Ingredients:
3 -4 bananas, mashed |
1/3 cup butter, melted |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 egg, beaten |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 dash salt |
1 1/2 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mix wet ingredients in a bowl until combined. 2. Mix in dry ingredients. 3. Pour into buttered 4x8 loaf pan. 4. Bake at 325 for 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out mostly clean. 5. Cool on a rack. |
