The secret to a great pie is refrigerated pie crust witha free-form,no crimp edge. No pie making experience needed Ingredients:
1/2 of 15 oz. pkg.rolled refrigerated pie dough(1 crust) |
1c sugar |
3tbs cornstarch |
4c sliced ,peeled peaches or one 16oz. pkg frozen unsweetened peach slices |
1c fresh or frozen raspberries |
1 9 disposable pie pan |
vanilla ice cream(optional |
Directions:
1. Bring pie crust to room temperature according to directions. Preheat oven to 350. Meanwhile,in large mixing bowl,combine sugar and cornstarch.. Add peaches and raspberries;toss to coat(If using frozen fruit,let stand 15-30 mins or until partially thawed. 2. Ease crust into pie pan,allowing edges of crust to hang over edges of pan.(or use 9 glass pie plate. Spoon peach mixture into pastry lined pan. Fold crust edges over filling(crust will not totally cover mixture) 3. Place pie pan on foil lined shallow baking pan. Bake on bottom rack of oven for 60-70 mins or till pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbly. 4. Remove pan from oven and let stand for 45 mins. before serving. If desired,serv with ice cream. |
