A super EASY, creamy, delicious white Alfredo sauce. Great with fettuccine pasta, chicken or shrimp. Ingredients:
1 pint heavy whipping cream |
1 pint half-and-half cream |
1 (8 ounce) container grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 lb fettuccine pasta (optional) |
1 lb grilled chicken breast (optional) |
8 ounces shrimp (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a large pot on high heat, melt butter. Pour in the whipping cream, half & half, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt and stir with a whisk until all the lumps have dissolved. Bring to a boil. Let sauce boil on med-high heat for about 10 minutes, making sure to keep stirring periodically to prevent burning(sauce will be thin to begin with, don't worry-it thickens!). Turn down to medium-low heat and let the sauce simmer until it thickens(about 10 minutes). Add your pasta, chicken or shrimp & simmer for 5 more minutes. Serve immediately! |
