Great and easy for holidays. Ingredients:
1 head lettuce, chopped |
salt and pepper |
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped |
1 1/2 cups frozen peas, thawed |
2 stalks celery, chopped |
1 (2 1/2 ounce) jar bacon bits |
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
1 cup hellmann's mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 cup green onion, chopped |
Directions:
1. Layer lettuce in bottom of glass pan or bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 2. Add over the lettuce all of the following ingredients in layers in this order: eggs, peas, celery, bacon. 3. In a bowl, mix mayo with sugar. Spread (with a spatula) on top of mixture so that it's all covered. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 4. Sprinkle with cheese and lastly, onion. 5. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, can toss altogether or leave as is for presentation. |
