these look so cute and good for Easter..... so I thought I would post ... the recipe and photo are coutesy of Land o' Lakes Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups sugar |
3/4 cup land o lakes® butter, softened |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
48 mint meltaway candies |
Directions:
1. Combine 1 cup sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat until well mixed. Cover; refrigerate until firm (30 minutes). 2. Heat oven to 375°F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in remaining sugar. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. 3. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until very light golden brown. Remove from oven; immediately press 1 mint candy in center of each cookie. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely |
