I came up with this while on a limited budget and craving a layer dip sans guacamole, lettuce, olives, etc. Super easy and totally delicious! Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans |
1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning |
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream |
1 (16 ounce) jar salsa (such as newman's own® medium or hot) |
2 cups shredded mexican-style cheese blend, or more to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. Mix refried beans with taco seasoning mix in a bowl; spread mixture into the bottom of an 8x8-inch glass baking dish. Spread sour cream over the refried beans; spread salsa over the sour cream. Sprinkle cheese over the top. 3. Bake in preheated oven until cheese is melted but not bubbling, 6 to 10 minutes. |
