Soft, fluffy, quick, easy, and delicious! *Use variations for other flavors. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup grated cheese |
1 egg |
1 cup milk |
1/4 cup tablespoons melted butter |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. 2. Pour liquids into flour mix. 3. Add grated cheese. 4. Stir few times. Batter should be lumpy. Dont beat. Smooth batter makes tough muffins. 5. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffins pans, filling each cup about two thirds full. Bake until toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. ( 15 – 18 minutes) 6. *VARIATIONS: 7. Bacon Add 1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon, well drined. 8. Blueberry Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup blueberries. 9. Raisin Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup raisins. |
