Stock your pantry with this easy-to-make recipe. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to a month. Ingredients:
3 cups uncooked regular oats |
1 cup wheat germ |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 cup sliced almonds |
1/3 cup sunflower seeds |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 cup honey |
1/4 cup maple syrup |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 cup raisins |
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots |
1/2 cup chopped dried apples |
yogurt (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl; stirring well. 2. Cook honey and next 3 ingredients in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Stir in oat mixture. 3. Spread mixture in a lightly greased, aluminum foil-lined 15- x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. 4. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden, stirring every 5 minutes. Invert onto wax paper; let cool 30 minutes. Stir in dried fruits. Serve with yogurt, if desired. |
