I found this in a magazine years ago; my family enjoyed it so much;it has Zing! This recipe would be great served for lunch with a crusty bread and some friends.This is the type of salad that you can add or remove whatever your prefer. Add 1/2 cup of olives for another taste sensation. Ingredients:
3 garlic cloves, crushed |
3 tablespoons vinegar |
2 tablespoons mustard |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
crushed pepper |
1/3 cup olive oil |
salt |
1 (15 ounce) can artichokes, cut in 1/2 |
1/2 spanish onion, sliced |
4 green onions, chopped |
1/2 green pepper, sliced |
1/2 red pepper, sliced |
1 (6 ounce) can whole mushrooms |
1/2 cup salami, sliced |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed |
1 romaine lettuce |
1 tomato, cut in chunks |
Directions:
1. Whis together dressing ingredients; don't be shy with the pepper. 2. Add vegetables. 3. Marinate for 4-6 hours. 4. Add salami and cheese. 5. Toss together with chopped Romaine lettuce. 6. Top with tomatoes,. 7. Serve and watch the smiles. 8. Cooking time is marinating time. |
