An excellent Asian hamburger from Martin Yan's Quick and Easy ! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce |
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro |
2 teaspoons sesame oil |
1 teaspoon grated ginger |
1/4 cup purchased barbecue sauce |
1/4 cup hoisin sauce |
2 teaspoons chili-garlic sauce |
2 teaspoons sesame oil |
4 hamburger buns |
4 lettuce leaves |
1 tomato, thinly sliced |
1 small onion, thinly sliced |
Directions:
1. Combine meat patty ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. 2. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions; lightly shape each into a patty about 4 inches in diameter. 3. Combine hoisin barbecue sauce ingredients in a small bowl; mix well. 4. Place a grill pan over high heat until hot. 5. Place patties on pan and cook turning once, until done to your liking, for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium rare. 6. Top each burger with a tablespoon of hoisin barbecue sauce. 7. Serve patties in hamburger buns with lettuce, sliced tomato, and onion. |
