A friend shared this recipe with me. It originally came from an Amish Cookbook. I added cayenne pepper and garlic. I would like to share it with you. Ingredients:
1 lb bacon |
1 lb flat noodles, cooked |
1 (10 ounce) package frozen spinach |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
1/2 cup butter (the real thing) |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1 1/2 cups heavy cream |
2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese |
salt and black pepper |
cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon until crisp then crumble and set aside. 2. Thaw frozen spinach and squeeze out water. 3. Melt butter in large saucepan. 4. Add spinach and garlic and saute 3-5 minutes on medium heat. 5. In saucepan combine all remaining ingredients and heat over low heat for five minutes. 6. Pour over noodles, add bacon and toss gently. |
