Our youth group used to make these at fund raising yard sales. I am posting this recipe for family groups and one for large groups. Just like you get at the fair! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 1/3 cups milk |
2 2/3 cups flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
powdered sugar |
oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, add milk and beat again. 2. Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. 3. add egg mixture and beat until smooth. 4. Heat oil to 400 degrees. 5. Pour 1/2 cup of batter into a funnel. 6. let batter drizzle into hot oil starting at the center and expanding in a circular motion, criss-crossing with the last bit of batter. 7. brown on both sides. 8. drain on paper towels. 9. sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
