My Dutch mom always made this. We the kids loves coming over for this with our morning coffees.
Ingredients:
6 apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
3/4 cup oats
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions:
1. Toss the apples with lemon juice and put in a casserole dish.
2. Combine the dry ingredients for the filling and toss with apples.
3. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the apples.
4. Bake at 350 F for 45-50 minutes.
