Nice Dessert. Very little fat so a nice snacking cake also. Recipe came from a magazine some time ago. I usually use macIntosh apples. Hope you like it! Ingredients:
2/3 cup brown sugar (packed) |
1/4 cup butter |
1 egg |
1/4 cup yogurt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 2/3 cups cake flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup applesauce |
2 apples |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 teaspoons water |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and butter. 2. Beat in egg, yogurt, and vanilla. 3. Combine dry ingredients. 4. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce. 5. Pour into lightly greased 9 pan. 6. Arrange sliced apples on top. 7. Brush on topping. 8. Bake 350 for 30-35 minute. |
