Found in the 1961 edition of the Woman's World Cook Book. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted |
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon butter |
2/3 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. 2. Cut in butter, then add enough milk to make a soft dough. 3. Turn out on a floured board and roll about 1/2 thick. 4. Cut into small squares, and drop in hot liquid. 5. Cover tightly and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. |
