2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons butter |
1 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Combine the flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. 2. Bring the butter and milk to a simmer in a saucepan. 3. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients. 4. Stir with a fork OR knead by hand 2 to 3 times just until mixture comes together. 5. Divide the dough into about 16 small puffy dumplings 6. Roll each piece of dough into a small rough ball. 7. Gently lay the formed dumplings on the surface of your soup or stew. 8. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. 9. Serve immediately. |
