A recipe from 1937 publication Home Comfort Cook Book by the Wrought Iron Range Co., St. Louis. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
2 tbsp baking powder |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup milk |
1/4 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Mix egg with milk add all at once. Stir only until mixed. Drop by spoonfuls over boiling mixture. Civer and steam 15 minutes before removing lid. Serve at once. |
