Ingredients:
3 large bananas
5 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup heavy sweet cream
1/4 cup dry sherry
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Sliced peeled bananas lenghthwise. Sautee in butter until light brown (they will smell wonderful). Drain and set in shallow cake pan.
2. Spread a thin layer of sugar (not all!) evenly over bananas.
3. Whip cream together with remaining ingredients.
4. Spread cream on bananas.
5. Chill at least one hour.
6. Serve cold.
