Drunkin Croissant French Toast

A delicious alternative to bread eggs & syrup
Ingredients:
1-cup strawberries;quartered
2 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup peach schnapps
4 large day-old croissants
3/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp powdered sugar
Directions:
1. Mix strawberries, sugar and peach schnapps and set aside.
2. Slice croissants in half lengthwise
3. .Whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla.
4. Pour into a shallow dish.
5. Dip croissant halves into egg mixture, coating well.
6. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
7. Add four croissant halves, and cook about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
8. Repeat procedure with remaining butter and croissant halves. Spoon some strawberry mixture in between the 2 pieces of croissant.
9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar; top with whipped cream.
