Drunken Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake

Cherries reconstituted with rum in a rich chocolate cake. Not for the faint of heart!! You may substitute bourbon for the rum if you wish. Brandy may also work, I have not tried that as yet.
Ingredients:
chocolate crust-see crust recipe page
6 ounce dried tart cherries
1/2 cup dark rum
1 1/2 pounds philly cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 tea. rum extract
1 tea. cherry extract
1/2 cup heavy cream
Directions:
1. Place cherries in medium bowl or jar.
2. Pour rum over cherries, stir lightly.
3. Cover and set in fridge overnight.
4. Preheat oven to 350^.
5. Blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
6. Add eggs one at a time.
7. Add extracts and cream, mixing thoroughly.
8. Layer cherries in prepared pan.
9. Pour filling over cherries.
10. Bake at 350^ for 55-65 minutes.
11. Let cool and refrigerate before serving.
