This is especially good for marinating meats for stir-frying, as well as chicken breasts, roasts, pork chops, or cubed venison. Double recipe if using a large cut of meat, such as roasts.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon dry sherry (drinking kind-not cooking sherry)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients, except baking soda, and mix.
2. Add baking soda and mix.
3. It will begin to froth, and that's normal.
4. Place meat (beef, chicken, pork, venison) in resealable plastic bag and refrigerate for 20 minutes up to several hours.
5. Grill or stir-fry meats.
6. Note: Do not leave meat in marinade overnight, as it will soften and flavor meats too much.
