I make salad dressings since commercial ones contain way too much sodium. This is a recipe from Betty Crocker's Cookbook, but I reduced the sodium, sugar, and substituted roasted garlic for raw. Ingredients:
1 cup olive oil |
1/4 cup lemon juice |
1/4 cup white wine vinegar |
1 pinch salt |
1 pinch sugar |
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
1/8 teaspoon thyme leaves |
4 cloves roasted garlic |
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients. 2. Refrigerate 2 hours, if possible, before serving. 3. Shake before serving. |
