My friend was battling the mouth sores caused by chemo. This was her grandmothers recipe and something she could tolerate eating during chemo. She liked it with mashed potatoes and biscuits. The biscuits give it a dumpling flavor. Ingredients:
1 can english pea |
1 can refrigerated biscuit |
white pearl onion |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Pour peas in small saucepan. 2. Tear one biscuit into marble size (or smaller). 3. pieces and add to peas. 4. Add pearl onions (as many as you like). 5. salt and pepper to taste. 6. cover and simmer 25 minutes. |
