This took first place in the Betty Crocker Food for the Soul contest in 2000. Ingredients:
1 can condensed milk |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 pinch cinnamon |
1 1/2 cups bisquick or 1 1/2 cups equivilant baking mix |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Melt butter, set aside. 3. Drain peaches, reserve juice. 4. Grease a 13x9x2 pan, place drained peaches in pan. 5. Pour can of condensed milk over peaches. 6. Combine baking mix, cinnamon, vanilla, milk and saved juice in a bowl. 7. Pour over peaches and condensed milk. 8. Add melted margarine. 9. Stir only three times. 10. Bake for 15 minutes and score top. 11. Continue baking for 5 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. 12. Serve warm or cold with vanilla ice cream. |
