Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/3 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup milk |
1 egg, beaten |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted |
vegetable oil |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt. Add milk, egg, and butter; mix with a wooden spoon until smooth. 2. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into deep oil heated to 375°. Fry until golden brown, turning once. Drain well. 3. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; stir well. Roll doughnuts in cinnamon mixture until coated. Serve warm. |
