This was my first time making pancakes and I think I did pretty good. Instead of syrup I made strawberry sauce to go over it. Making this perfect for strawberry lovers! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
2 tbsp of sugar |
2 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
1 large egg |
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract |
1 tbsp butter |
1 cup strawberries, sliced |
1 cup milk |
strawberry sauce |
1/2 cup strawberries mashed |
1 tsp butter |
2 tbsp sugar |
1/4 cup water |
Directions:
1. Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt, melt the butter in a saucepan, pour into the mixture then add the milk, and vanilla. Beat the egg in a measuring cup then add to the mixture and stir well. Fold in the sliced strawberries. 2. Heat a griddle or round skillet on high heat sprayed with cooking spray. When hot pour a small amount of pancake mix onto it. Cook until both sides are good and brown. Repeat with rest of batter. 3. Strawberry Sauce 4. Combine strawberries, butter, and sugar in the saucepan where you melted the other butter. Wait until the butter is melted then add the water and bring to a boil. reduce to simmer and take off when it looks a bit thick but not to thick. Pour over the pancakes and add some butter ontop and you are ready to eat! |
