These pigs in a blanket are special because of the addition of bacon. I use Boar's head precooked pepper bacon. For dipping sauces I serve with Chikfila honey mustard and bloody mary ketchup. Both recipes are available on my page. I also wouldn't dream of using anything but Nathan's famous hot dogs. Ingredients:
2 (16 1/2 ounce) packages crescent roll dough |
8 hot dogs, halved |
8 pieces microwave bacon, precooked, halved |
8 slices cheddar cheese, halved |
1 egg |
4 tablespoons poppy seeds |
4 tablespoons sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Roll out the crescent roll dough. 2. Place cheese slice in dough. 3. Wrap precooked bacon around hot dog and put in dough. 4. Roll dough around hot dog and cheese to make the crescent shape. 5. Brush tops with beaten egg. 6. Sprinkle with seeds. 7. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes. |
