This recipe goes with Travellers' Rest Skillet Apple Pie Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup shortening |
1/2 cup cold butter or margarine, cut into small pieces |
6 to 8 tablespoons cold water |
Directions:
1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening and butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water evenly over mixture; stir gently with a fork until mixture forms a ball. Chill 30 minutes. |
