Delicious and easy. May be served with maple syrup if you like them sweet. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups creamed corn |
1 egg |
1 1/4 cups cornmeal |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 dash cayenne pepper |
oil |
Directions:
1. Mix corn and egg in a bowl. 2. In another bowl combine the dry ingredients. 3. Add the dry ingredients to the corn; stir until moistened. 4. Heat oil in pan, about 1/8 inch deep. 5. Spoon batter into hot oil, fry until golden brown, approx 3 minutes per side. |
