Double Chocolate Snack Cake #2 |

This came from the Betty Crocker cookbook. Its egg free, and can be mixed right in the pan! Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (do not use self rising) |
1 cup packed brown sugar or 1 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup water |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon white vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
powdered sugar (optional, to dust cake) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix flour, brown sugar,cocoa, baking soda and salt with a fork in an ungreased 8x8x2in. 3. pan (square of course!). 4. Stir in remaining ingredients except the chocolate chips and powdered sugar. 5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the batter. 6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted. 7. Cool in pan. 8. Dust with powdered sugar. |
