Double Chocolate Rice Krispies Sundaes |

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but it sounds like a fantastic treat for the grandkids!! I found this in my Mom's recipes and it is sure on my to-do list - I have company coming this weekend and have been looking for something different for a dessert and I'm going to try this, and guess what?? NO kids!! Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
1 (250 g) bag miniature marshmallows |
1/3 cup cocoa |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
5 cups rice krispies |
vanilla ice cream, softened |
chocolate ice cream topping |
chopped nuts |
maraschino cherry |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine n a 4L saucepan. Add marshmallows and cocoa, stirring until melted and well blended, Add Rice Krispies and vanilla mixing until well coated. With moistened hands, press mixture on bottom and up sides of 18 large well-greased muffin cups. Cool; fill with softened ice cream. Cover with plastic wrap; Freeze. 2. Remove sundaes from pan 10 minutes before serving. 3. Garnish with chocolate toppng and cherries. |
